The 2010 USA Gymnastics Women's Jr. Olympic Level 9 Western Championships is hosted by Chow's Gymnastics Booster Club. Chow's Gymnastics is the home gym of 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Shawn Johnson and Liang Chow, Head Coach of the 2008 U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastics Team.

Liang Chow
In addition to being chosen Head Coach of the 2008 U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastics Team, Chow was also Head Coach of the 2007 World Champion Team, and 2007 & 2008 Senior Elite Coach of the Year!
Well-known for his excellence as a coach and for training Olympic Gold Medalist Shawn Johnson, Chow was an exceptional gymnast in his own right for the Chinese National team. Throughout his competitive gymnastics career, he received numerous honors, winning more than 30 International Gold Medals. In 1990, Chow won the All-Around title and became the XIV World Cup Master Champion. That year he also became the Asian Games Champion, and in 1989, Chow was a Bronze Medalist at the World Championships.
After moving to the United States and coaching the men's and women's gymnastics teams at the University of Iowa, Chow opened his own world-class gymnastics training facility in West Des Moines, Iowa. It is here that elite gymnasts continually strive to provide the highest-quality gymnastics program possible in the United States.
Shawn Johnson
Chow's Gymnastics is the training facility of 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Shawn Johnson. Shawn won the gold medal for her beam performance in Beijing with a daring and difficult routine that scored 16.225. Johnson also took silver medals in the floor individual finals and in the all-around competition. These medals along with her Team silver make her one of the most decorated U.S. gymnasts in Olympic history.
Shawn secured her spot on the 2008 U.S. Women's Gymnastics Olympic Team by winning the Olympic Trials in Philadelphia, PA, June 19 – 22, 2008, where she placed first on vault, beam and floor as well as first all-around. Other titles to her credit include 2007 World All- Around Champion, 2007 Pan American All-Around Champion and the 2007 American Cup Champion. Shawn is also the first female gymnast to win the Sullivan Award, given to the country's top amateur athlete. Most recently Shawn has proven to be an accomplished dancer as well, winning the coveted mirror ball trophy on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."
